Do you want information about how a DSLR camera works? Read this tutorial and learn to find the best digital slr camara deal.
A digital SLR camera looks like any normal big digital camera but it’s different in the manner in which it is used. For one this camera allows the user to see the picture to be taken exactly as it is without any form of alteration from the camera.
This is good for the picture quality as it has no “preservatives” that are added by too many electronic components. You see, for normal compact cameras the image has to be digital generated in order to be viewable on the viewfinder or screen i.e. the lens captures the image and sends it to your eyepiece or LCD through “wires” fitted inside the camera while in a digital SLR camera the image is taken to the viewfinder by mirrors and lenses that reflects the image from one mirror to another.
There is a more technical explanation for this but I chose the simplified explanation to make it easier for starters to follow. With this you are almost ready to find best digital SLR camera stuff to buy.
Here is how it works, First the light enters the lens of the camera. Once the light enters the camera it hits a mirror, which reflects it to a condenser lens. The lens then sends it to a 5 sided prism that diverts it to the user’s eye in the eye piece. Now as you take a shot with the camerathe mirror swings upwards to allow the light coming through the lens to be sent straight to the image sensor.
After all that I hope you can now understand what I meant by saying that you see the actual image in the viewfinder without and changes or alterations.
We said earlier that what you see on the viewfinder is the exact image but in most instances it is not 100%. This means you need to check the specs of the camera i.e. how much coverage it has and its brightness. the best possible image coverage is 95% but your naked eye can never really see the difference no matter how hard you look.
If feel like you are not ready to use a fully manual camera, don’t worry yourself too much, all digital SLR cameras come with automatic settings.
