The homeowner of the modern day wishes to have a bathroom that is cleaner, more stylish and more hygienic than their predecessors could have ever imagined. And thanks to the Glass Shower Door the days of the old, moldy shower curtain are coming to an end in today’s contemporary bathroom.

Aside from pleasing the eye and adding value to the home, Glass Showers do not provide a breeding ground for Germs and Mold causing Bacteria that will only make you and your loved ones sick. The washing machine is what most people use to clean their Shower Curtains. Yet unbeknownst to them they are quite possibly spreading millions upon millions of Germs and Mold causing microscopic Bacteria into their washing machines that can later infect the entire household. With a Glass Shower Door such dangers are not an issue. In order to clean Glass in the wash space all that needs to be done is to wipe it down with any disinfectant cleaner, rinse, squeegee and you are Germ & Bacteria free. Except of course for the Silicon that is used to make a watertight seal at the joints of the Glass Panels. And at the watertight seal known as the Bottom Wipe, which goes at the base of every Glass Shower Door. Both Silicone and the rubber made Bottom Wipes will form Mold with time. The solution is to use a Mildew Resistant Silicon that is specifically made for Showers & Sinks. The Bottom Wipes are very inexpensive and should be replaced at least twice per year.

All Shower Glass Doors can easily be bacteria and mold free if the proper precautions from its installation are carried out. And if a regiment of routine cleaning is adhered to by the owner.

Manduka Large eQua Towel

by Bath Towel on May 9, 2009

Manduka Large eQua Towel

The next generation in eco-conscious, multipurpose towels, Manduka’s large eQua towel is ideal for practicing yoga or working out at the gym. The towel is extremely lightweight, durable, and super-absorbent, helping it outperform ordinary cotton or polyester towels. For yoga, eQua is the ideal “rug” to keep you and your mat hygienic and slip-free. Plus, it dries quickly in minutes, so you can use it as a warm-down shawl after practice. For working out, eQua provides the perfect moisture-wicking wipe for the excessively sweaty. And for the space-challenged traveler, the eQua and its re-usable mesh bag is an ideal road companion. Soft and natural to the touch (with no PVC nubs), the high-quality microfiber towel is even resilient enough to survive countless washings. This large version of the towel measures 70 by 0.1 by 25 inches (W x H x D).

User Ratings and Reviews

2 Stars Absorbs fairly well, but bunches up on the mat
The price is good, but this towel is not as good as Yogitoes skidless. You really do need those silicone nubs and this towel does not have them. I keep having to re-adjust the towel because it bunches up on my mat and slides around. It absorbs great at first but towards the end of class it just can’t absorb anymore and my hands and feet end up slipping. I say pay the extra $20-30 and buy Yogitoes Skidless.

5 Stars For those of us who sweat like crazy…
It doesn’t matter what kind of yoga I am doing, within 5 minutes, I’m pouring sweat. If this sounds like you, then you’ll probably want to pick up a yoga towel of some sort.

Let’s face it: these towels are rather expensive. There are cheaper options available. I bought mine because it is sized correctly for the larger Manduka 71 inch mat and I needed something to collect the river of sweat that was forming on my mat during class.

I have had absolutely no problems with slippage since purchasing this towel. I lay it on top of my mat at the beginning of class and the towel never bunches up or stretches. In fact, it has helped me immensely–now that my hands are not slipping, I can “dig in” a little deeper and really work on my form in poses like downward facing dog.

It’s also really nice to be able to reach down and grab a corner and wipe the sweat from my face, but I’ll probably get a smaller towel for that soon.

ps: If you have long hair and don’t want to put it up in one of those stupid guy pony tails, and your head sweats a lot, then try a Halo headband. I use mine for biking also because it helps divert sweat away from the eyes.

5 Stars Great Towel!!
I really love this towel. After two years of dealing with the yogitoes skidless I decided that I’d try the manduka towel since I have the manduka black mat. This towel is great! It’s a lot thinner than the yogitoes and no annoying plastic beads on the bottom side. Superior grip too! Highly recommended!

OVER DRAWER TOWEL HOLDER

OVER DRAWER TOWEL HOLDER

Over Cabinet Towel Holder Free drawer space and create storage over cabinet door for hanging towels with easy access. Store towels close to the sink. Brushed stainless steel, 9 1/ 4 x 2 1/ 2 x 2 1/ 2″.

User Ratings and Reviews

1 Star will not stay on any of my cabinets
They keep falling off-even on the cabinets i have with thicker doors. And check the dimensions CLOSELY. they weren’t as long as they appear to be in the photo.

1 Star Not Recommended
One of the two hooks that holds this on the cabinet door broke off after about two weeks of use; it’s very flimsily made. Buyer beware.

4 Stars High-quality item
This is a nicely made, well-finished towel bar, at a good price. It is attractive and looks good in my kitchen, and has a rubber pad inside the hook portion to protect the front cabinet surface. I no longer have to tuck towels into a drawer (they are always falling out) or leave them on the counter, and I didn’t have to drill holes in my nice cabinets. The 9″ length is perfect for cabinet doors or wide drawers, but is harder to use with narrower drawers, so I recommend you take a ruler and measure where you want to put it before you order. But I wish I had found these years ago–they work very well and solve my towel problem. I bought two, and now think I may order two more.

For people who have a loose fit, go to the hardware store and buy some stick-on foam tape. Put it on the inside of the hook, and it should solve the problem.

5 Stars what to do if your towel rack keeps falling off
as we know all cabinets are not alike so ad a dab of clear silicone to the back of the rack let it dry and they won’t fall off anymore. to remove use a peice of dental floss.wont harm your cabinets

5 Stars Simple and Effective
A no-brainer…wish I would have bought this long ago. Now I never have to look for the dishrag again…and no tools! :)
